    Spanish Intensive Beginner I Class

This is an intensive immersion-based path to fluency in speaking reading, and writing the Spanish language that meets twice a week. Students acquire basic oral skills, such as expressing multiple greetings, and stating basic personal information. Through games, class discussions and role-plays teachers emphasize early reading and writing skills. Music, stories, and rhymes help students master simple phonics and vocabulary.

    Spanish Intensive Beginner II

Beginner II covers similar topics to Beginner I in greater depth.  As in Beginner I, classes take place twice a week for effective, accelerated instruction. Students expand their vocabulary and develop reading, writing and conversation skills. This course is intended for those who want to continue learning Spanish after having taken Beginner I or those who have significant prior experience with the Spanish language (e.g. parents or caregiver speaks Spanish, has completed Beginner I or other courses in Spanish).

Spanish Writing and Drama Club for kids

Drama Class focuses on expanding vocabulary and building reading comprehension skills by reading and dramatizing well known fairy tales, including Little Red Riding Hood – Caperucita Roja, Puss and Boots – El Gato con Botas and the Three Little Pigs – Los Tres Chanchitos.   Skits are created specifically for each class’ reading level, and students select a character role that they prepare for a performance at the end of the session (with costumes, below). For on-line classes, the children become “stick-figure puppeteers” to portray their characters. This engaging class enhances vocabulary, reading, oral fluency, and grammar.
